How do i connect two wireless mics to an xdcam?

i know it might be a dumb question, but my friend and i tried connecting two receivers to the xdcam but only the receiver connected to channel 1 was picking up sound from its respective transmitter. is it even possible to have two wireless mics [with different frequencies, of course] connected to an xdcam?
