What are some of the advances in arts and technology of ancient Egypt? And golden age?

I checked Wikipedia, but information there isn't very good. And I have many different sources telling me the different dates of Egypt's golden age. Is it old, middle or new kingdom? And what are the dates of the respective kingdoms? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you! =)
